Drug-Free World Message Reaches Families at Clondalkin Festival

The Clondalkin Festival in Ireland welcomed a drug-prevention outreach led by volunteers from the Scientology Community Centre Dublin, who made educational materials available to festivalgoers throughout the day.

The stand provided booklets and displays on commonly abused substances, giving parents, young people and community members an opportunity to learn more about drug risks and prevention in an informal festival environment.

The outreach was connected to the broader Truth About Drugs campaign, which uses booklets, videos and educational resources to communicate straightforward facts about drug use and its consequences.

For the Church of Scientology, drug-prevention education is one of several humanitarian initiatives inspired by L. Ron Hubbard and carried out by churches, missions and volunteers in communities across Europe.

Ivan Arjona, representative of the news eu gipfel Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, said that such initiatives reflect civic responsibility in practice. “Drug-prevention education is most effective when it is brought close to people, in places where families, young people and neighbours already meet,” he said.
